Not sure if you resolved this yet.If you want to reinstall usb express driver try going to the directory where WeatherLink is installed (default is C:WeatherLink I think) and then find the SupportDrivers subdirectory. Select either the DirectUSBDriverWin8 subdirectory for Windows 98 or DirectUSBDriversWinX subdirectory for Windows XP and compatible. Right click on SiUSBXp.inf and click install from the menu. Now unplug and replug the USB connection and see if that works.If that didn't work, it's possible that the WeatherLink data logger was switched to serial port emulation and would no longer be recognized as USB device. (That's what 'CP210X USB to Serial Converter' does.) In that case you can switch it back to USB by going into the WeatherLink program and from the Setup menu select 'Communications Port'. If 'Serial' isn't already selected, select it, click OK and then go back. Select 'USB', click OK and then unplug and replug the USB connection and see if that works.That's about all I can suggest without more details into your situation.

Hope that helps.A WORD OF WARNING! On my Windows XP SP3 machine when I switch from serial emulation to USB Express, the computer is very sluggish and unresponsive. It never completes the installation so I'm always back to square one when hard resetting the computer.THE SOLUTION I found to this problem is to make sure the USB is plugged in, do a hard reset and boot up into Windows Safe Mode (press F8 before Windows starts). I log in as administrator and once Windows is completely booted up, I do a software restart.
